Who is Sista J?

My name is Jeanette and I wear many hats.I am first of all a servant of God. I am a pastor, happily married to Pastor Thomas Price II!!!!We go by a lot of names, but our names that we love the most (besides Thomas and J.) are Paw-Paw and Gin-Gin!We have seven beautiful grand children. (I guess I'd better mention the children also. We have four (five, six, seven eight, nine plus) children and we thank God for them, because without them we wouldn't have our grand babies! Thomas says that if we knew grand kids were   so great we would have skipped having kids and went straight for the grand kids!
When I was a single parentour oldest son Broderick brought a young man to the house to stay with us.  His name was Keith and he changed my life!He was having a hard time, and where I thought I was helping him,he helped me! Isn't it funny how sometimes we have our heart set on being a blessing to someone and God will use them to bless us! God gave him the name Sista J for me and even gave him the spelling! He brought Quincy and then other young men showed up.Sometimes I didn't know who was in the house!I was a single mother with a sixteen year old son, a nine year old son and   more teenagers than I can remember.  When I say that I didn't ask for a youth ministry, that is a understatement. I was youth director at the church and that was safe. At the house, I had a lot of kids who had been hurt (some by church folks),who had habits and hangups, trust issues, addictions. When I tell you that God was teaching me (and showing me) agape love!

  1. Thanks for sharing snippests of your lived history with blog world. You are indeed a community mother. You remind me of my biological mother and her house full of children given to her through us by way of God. Although she hasn't framed it as youth pastoring but that is what she did with troubled youths! Your warm words just touched mw Mama J as always!
